Most current graphics programs use a layer-based system, and many also support layers for editing. Photoshop does not have layers because it is intended for graphic designers and professionals who must have complete control over the image. You can use layer masks, which are an equally powerful way to mask layers, to mask out areas of a layer. Layer masks are discussed in Book II, Chapter 6.

Photoshop’s appearance may be outdated to you, and indeed, many new features have been introduced in the past 10 years. However, many of the core functions of this powerful program remain unchanged.

Getting started with Photoshop Elements 2019

Before you begin editing your image, you’ll need to import it into Photoshop Elements 2019. You can open a file in Photoshop Elements like you would any other image.

In this post, we’ll show you how to import a file or add a photo to your Photoshop Elements document and save it in a new location.

1. Browse to and open your image.

Open your image in Photoshop Elements, then select the Open button.

In the New window, navigate to the location where you saved your file.

If you can’t find the location, go to your computer’s files or folders.

In the Spotlight window, find the file or folder you want to import. Click the file and wait until it opens in Photoshop Elements.

2. Click Browse.

Now that the file is open in Photoshop Elements, click the icon in the bottom-left corner of the window to browse for a new location to save your image.

In the Choose location dialog box, select a location where you want to save your image.

After you select a location, click OK.

If you don’t see the OK or Done button, click the Menu icon at the top of the workspace and select File ➤ Save.

This is a suit for a real estate commission by a real estate broker. The defendants are the purchasers of the land involved. The original bill was dismissed without answer, and plaintiff amended his bill and added a new count based on the gist of the amended bill that defendants had employed him as a real estate agent to sell their land and by fraud and maliciously depriving him of his commission induced his first employer to agree to sell the land to them at a discount, and they kept him in ignorance and darkness as to the true purchase price until he had acted with his first employer. The case was heard in the District Court upon an agreed statement of facts, with no evidence taken, the court deciding there was no fraud and no connivance by the defendants with the owner of the land, and *603 that he had no standing in court to sue for a commission under the circumstances alleged. This decision was affirmed by the Court of Appeals (Erwin v. Paxson, 52 Ga. App. 616, 184 S. E. 652), and the Supreme Court of the state having declined to grant certiorari.
In the meantime the defendants had a fire which destroyed the house and barn on the land, but this was covered by insurance and the defendants recovered $5,800 thereon. Subsequently they delivered to the broker and his principal, a mortgagee, $1,200 in money, which they claimed was his commission, and the court below found that it was a bona fide payment in full.
The case presented does not come within the provision of section 7119 (now section 8-102 of the Code of Georgia of 1933) “any agent or broker, without the authority of the principal,” for he is suing under section 7121 of the same code which gives him, without any penalizing provision, the right to an amount of commission at law or in equity to which he would have been entitled from the general mass of creditors of the principal without the statute as their
