1. Get the image

Open the desired image in Photoshop.

2. Select tool from edit menu and use a marquee tool to select the boundaries of the crop.

3. Press the rectangle tool button in the tool bar.

4. Press the left mouse button to define the start point

5. Press the right mouse button to define the end point

6. Press the Enter key or simply drag the boundary line to the desired place.

7. Click on the new layer group to make the crop layer active.

8. Optional: If you don’t know where the crop target is, press Alt+C to activate the crop by percentage.

9. Press the crop layer to lock the position of the crop.

10. Press CTRL+C or Command+C to copy the cropped layer or move it to the new layer.

11. Press CTRL+V or Command+V to paste the cropped layer into the new blank canvas.

12. Delete the original image.

13. Resize, rotate or flip the cropped image to desired size.

14. Crop by percentage.

15. Merge layers to form the final image.

Koo Min-jeek’s Mr. Koo will be featured in a Travel Channel documentary in October.

We were at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco and saw that Koo Min-jeek was also at the museum’s opening reception. Nice guy and I like his photos.

In fact, I like all photos that he took. I like his more simpler style. There’s not much editing. His first exhibit, ’50 Photos That Changed the World,’ at the CAFA was an exhibition of photos taken by photographers from three generations who set up shop in a Chinese village to capture Taiwan’s unique beauty, love and love history.

The photos in the exhibit are different from the ones he took for Mr. Koo because they had a lot of depth in the story. Many of them showed a turbulent relationship between people (the village folks) and the modern world.

For his Mr. Koo project, it would be nice if he did a photography project like the one he did in 2008. I’m sure he can do better.

Ms. Lee Jane ran a fantastic workshop in San Francisco at her photography gallery. I gave my best to her Japanese garden.

I made all of the photos I took on my trip and I didn’t do any editing on any of them. I like the ruggedness of them because they don’t look as if I just took them all on my trip. Maybe I’m not very good at English photography. But I love the subject and I hope that I’m good at it.

I spent a lot of my childhood outside playing baseball, basketball, football, soccer, and excelling in track. Something I really don’t ever give myself credit for was how valuable the 5K was for me in high school.

Being involved in athletics, coaching, and athletics coaching means a lot of things for me. There are so many great moments shared with all of you and I cherish every one of them. At the end of the day, athletics teaches me humility and gratitude as you are all watching out for me.

​My family is lucky to have some athletic special talents. My dad played football, my mom coached softball and I played basketball. I was also the starting center for the softball team while I was in high school.

A lot of people believe if you play multiple sports, then you are a better athlete. While that is a great way to a good game of pick up basketball or football, the truth is, I don’t believe that you can be a better athlete if you do. I was one of the best players in the state of Texas, but at the end of the day, I was only one in a class of over 100 people. The truth is that all athletes are created equal. You can be the best of the best in your sport, but at the end of the day, you will have your moments of discomfort and doubt and be thrust into situations where everyone will be watching.

I was also blessed with athletic talent that allowed me to excel in the weight room. I was able to excel at what I loved, which was sports. I was also able to build muscles, gain muscle and get stronger as a result.

​In the weight room, I was able to compete with guys who were the best at the same position. That is how I was able to realize the best results.
