Also disclosed is an endoscope lumen occluding device having a pair of flexible flanges which occlude lumen of the endoscope when the ends of the flanges are pulled together.

The device includes a pair of clamps rotatably connected by a hinge and held together by a single hydraulic system. The clamps may be rotated to the open position to permit the use of the endoscope, or to the closed position to grasp the endoscope.
