Tennessee Senate lauds Ruoff’s achievements

Our region is best served by elected officials who can bring people together and lead. This week, the Tennessee General Assembly showed its support for that leader, Dr. Tom Ruoff, by memorializing him with an honorary proclamation and naming the Rotary-founded state Civil Service College a Governor Tom Ruoff School of Civil Service at Martin University.

“Dr. Ruoff’s many great achievements made him a natural for proclamation,” said Tina Ralph, president of the Tennessee Society of CPAs and a longtime personal friend.

“Dr. Ruoff was a man of great influence and a friend to all who knew him. I remember going with him to meetings when he was with the state Civil Service Commission. He was so compassionate and fun to be around. I know that it was easy for everyone to see what a great man he was, but it is even more impressive to me how much he accomplished.”
