Ericsson Melody Creator and Translator is a tiny and portable software application designed for owners of older Sony Ericsson mobile phones. It lets them create MIDI melodies easily by resorting to a virtual piano, and translate the notes into keys supported by Sony Ericsson phones. It does not actually export the files to the devices, but lets users easily input the melody keys themselves.
Portability advantages
Since there is no setup pack involved, you can drop the executable file to a custom location on the disk and just click it to run. Another possibility is to save it to a removable storage unit (like a USB flash drive) to immediately launch it on any PC with minimum effort and no previous installers.

Installation and operation:
The official download page contains the executable file in a 64-bit version (.EXE), requiring at least Windows XP Service Pack 3, as well as the setup package (which includes the 32-bit version with exactly the same functionalities).
The installation of the program does not alter the default programs of Microsoft Windows. It does not affect the Registry and does not create any other files on your system.
To start Melody Maker, click on its shortcut icon on the desktop, or double-click the executable file. You can close the application if it does not come up immediately after closing all running programs.
For the tutorial, connect your phone to the system via USB cable and turn it on. Now, open the program as usual.
