I have a Node.js websocket app that is receiving updates via a JSON websocket client. My current requirement has the following format:

My question is, how should I set up the JSON object itself? The bottom example obviously doesn’t work, as it doesn’t recognise updated. Since the source data comes from a legacy system, it’s a complete mystery to me what it should actually be.

In practice, based on your own requirements, I suggest the most common solution would be to create a structured, object array such as follows:

You can then query for data at any point in time like so:
