whenever possible, newly developed programs will be furnished to you or your customers prior to general availability, though this is not always possible. download and install instructions will be provided in order to make installation of your programs a simple and effective process.

downloads are available for most of honeywell’s software titles; however, some software titles are not available for download. this list of available titles may be obtained by contacting technical support.

the software consists of two parts:

• the automation studio contains a database-driven programming environment for developing hmi-based applications.
• the tia portal component of the software package is a user-friendly development tool for creating hmi applications in a network-ready, user-friendly hmi environment.

the easiest way to use these two solutions together is by first creating the application using the tia portal, then export the application to the studio. this makes it very convenient for the user to connect to the studio and edit the application as desired, without having to worry about the exported application.

the esc/master and floating licenses are designed for use in engineering projects. projects involve multiple machines, each with its own panel master. the floating license allows you to install a copy of the software on each of these machines, even if they are remote.

the panelmaster® reference software is provided by hpn and licensed to you under the terms of hpn’s standard, non-exclusive, non-transferable license agreement, which can be found at http://hpn.github.io/licensing/. the panelmaster® release in the context of the panel creator tools provided by hpn are either provided with the panelmaster® and/or licensed to you under the terms of hpn’s standard, non-exclusive, non-transferable license agreement. this standard license agreement shall govern any and all uses of panelmaster® licensed software by you in any context (including but not limited to libraries, utilities, applications, documentation, and training, both in print and electronic form, and any derivative works thereof), except for uses specifically not subject to the standard license agreement.
the use of panelmaster® and/or panelmaster® release in the context of the panel creator tools provided by hpn does not grant the user a license to use panelmaster® in any other context. further, hpn does not grant the user a license to use any other technology developed or owned by hpn. the user acknowledges that the use of panelmaster® by others is subject to hpn’s standard license agreement.
insofar as the panelmaster® reference product and/or any other palmmate® software, including, but not limited to, any software released under the palmmate® label are concerned, you acknowledge and agree that a software program or data file (whether in compressed or uncompressed form) that has been made available or distributed by hpn or a party acting on its behalf is licensed to the user pursuant to a license agreement between hpn and the user, and that user may obtain such program or data file, in one form or another, from hpn through the panelmaster® reference product, or a palmmate® software program. if the user does not have a license to use the program or data file, the user shall acquire a license for that program or data file immediately.
