New York Fashion Week: 5 Takeaways

What a ride last week was in SoHo. I haven’t been to Fashion Week in years, it seems that every season is different but I’m sure if I hadn’t have spent Friday night with my best friend, I would have had to rely on the ‘tweet’ to gather every bit of information. I feel for the photographers and stylists, some of the dresses that I could picture on the runway were amazing, then I remembered that each of them is going to be vying to be the next cover girl. By the end, I was happy that I wasn’t in the lineup that was huddled around the runway. I got dressed up in a Greta Constantine dress, some Black Halo jewelry, and I just wore a Celine bag, nothing too glamorous or too expensive, what you often get at the nail salon, so I can’t complain about the decor.

1. The models on Fashion Week seem to have reached their peak. The faces of the models at NYCFW were mostly not very likable and not nearly as realistic looking as the models on Self Care gurus like Duke, Conde Nast or Vogue. The models looked like models on a fashion blog back in the day. There were a couple of girls at this panel that had potential but they were overshadowed by the average girl on the street. When a new generation of photographers, stylists, and designers do come around, I think that is what will bring back the realism of Fashion Week.

This is my tribute to the best fishing simulator ever. I’ve been playing it since the early 2000s and I just now decided to make this. It’s been quite the journey, but I finally did it.

The story begins in the year 2035. I got my little brother who is a fisherman to come over, and we decided to try out a fishing simulator. You’re given 8 fishes, then you have to catch them to get the most points and then you get to travel to even more fish. So that’s what I’ve been doing for a while now, really because it’s fun and it’s a stress reliever.
